AN ORIGINAL ENCOUNTER

When my brother first got engaged, he arranged a family encounter to meet his sister-in-law. From the first instant, I did not appreciate her, although we have become such close friends, you would think we’re siblings.

At that encounter, her sister asked her to read the Tarot cards. It was the first time I ever heard of such cards, so I curiously watched them. When she proposed reading them for me, I refused. When all those present insisted, I succumbed reluctantly. She asked me to shuffle and cut the cards. I refused to touch them, so she shuffled them and compelled me to cut them with the intent of revelation.

In the first reading, she saw an infant who ‘belonged’ to me. I laughed. I was not married and had no kids out of wedlock either. The second reading revealed the same point along with other details. She now told me he was a boy and was recently born, barely a few months old. I was emphatic in my negation. She went on to the third and final reading. She insisted that I had a child and perhaps I was not yet informed. I suggested the cards could be wrong. After all, I never was an irresponsible person.

Strangely, with each round, she also found an elderly man always standing behind me and protecting me. On the first 2 occasions, she assumed it was my late father. But not the third time. She confirmed it was my patron Saint, and instructed me to invoke him because he was (and still remains) very powerful and active in my life. I accepted this point and thanked her for her advice.

I had not seen my dad for a few months and decided to travel and pay him a visit. As soon as I arrived, he insisted I extend my stay by a few days, announcing the birth of my step-brother whom he wanted me to meet! I couldn’t believe my ears. When he gave me his birth date, it coincided with the reading of the Tarot cards, barely a few months earlier. I told him I had been informed through the cards and rejected the idea. He laughed it off as a very pragmatic and logical person, adding that ‘sometimes’ it works!

If this point was a coincidence, and the other point was spot on, one may have the Tarot cards read occasionally and not compulsively, in case they ever reveal some pleasant truths!
